Rackmount Data Destruction

Because of regulatory requirements, companies must put in place plans to securely erase data or destroy it. As a result, data destruction has become a top priority and a mandatory component of most security policies. Our Octane Rackmount Erasure Appliance provides a remotely controllable, high bandwidth, small footprint erasure platform for SAS/SATA Hard Drive Erasure. The unit can also be connected to a wide array of storage enclsoures for SCSI, Fibre Channel and iSCSI erasure. Available in 2U (8 Port), 3U (16 Port) or 5U (24 Port) configurations, this versatile family of erasure appliances can fit any space or budget.

Octane integrates the latest in protocol and server technology with our Enterprise Data Erasure Software to provide the speed and power data centers require. Snap-canister drive trays eliminate the need to screw in hard drives before using them resulting in simpler and faster drive cycle times, increasing data destruction throughput and eliminating needed tools.

Octane provides high bandwidth data erasure to DoD, NAVSO and NIST standards (see Data Erasure Methods for more details). In addition, custom patterns and wipe methods can quickly and easily be integrated into the product by the end-user in order to address any specialized data erasure requirements.

With the ability to define test actions that occur on drive entry, your erasure process is as easy as snapping a drive into the canister and sliding it into the chassis. This eliminates any learning curves normally associated with new hardware. Slide a drive in and pull it out when erasure is complete.
