Q. I would like to look at the raw data on the drive to verify that it’s really gone. How do I do that?

A. Click on the picture of the disk platter/magnifying glass at the top right (list interface) or bottom right (physical interface) of the XErase interface. Use the Serial number list selector to pick the drive you want to look at and the navigation buttons to browse the media. There is also a reference hash selector that provides a quick way to discover discrepancies as it turns red if the hash doesn’t match the live data being viewed.
