Q. I have a customer that has a specific erasure method that I’ve never heard of and you don’t have an option for in the software. Is there any way I can create this method and have it be included in the software?

A. Yes. In XErase navigate to the Customize->Method/Rule/Profile filter and hit the add button at the top right of the window. This launches our Wipe Profile Generator, WipeGen. Simply add the writes, formats, secure erases, purges and verification passes you wish to have in this method, give it a custom title and hit the save button in the bottom right corner of the window. Restart XErase or LCServer and the new method will now be included in our list.
